![]() Maik Justus who enhanced the model to realism, is also a modelhelicopter pilot, physicist, and had in former times for other programs simulating helicopter support from some real pilots. I can say that this is not a problem of or flightmodel! I'm flying with modelhelicopters which is at least as difficult as real helicopter, so controlling a helicopter is not a problem for me. When I look outside the helicopter you can see the rotorbladed turns forward, and I can't steer so that they are exact horizontal.įor information: I try to fly with EC135 from Eurocopter, and the BO 105 and the Robinson R22. When I'm near full collective the back off the heli lifts off and the rotor tips in front touches the ground which results in a crash. Collective down, engine start and then as usual a bit more collective to lift off. I've calibrated my joystick today and I tried to take off. Scholtus wrote:Thanks for all your reply's. ![]() Hope that makes at least an ounce of sense. However, the position for "full throttle" is pitch-level, where you should have it set during startup. In helicopter models in FG, the control usually assigned to throttle is instead usually assigned to collective pitch control. That being said - I concur with a previous poster who said that your collective pitch might be all the way up. In games, a lot of flight dynamics are simplified for people who don't want to take the time to learn all of the intricacies of real-world flight, which is a lot more complicated than "point nose and throttle up" - especially in helicopters. This is less of a game and more of a real-world simulation. You'll find that the level of realism here might be much higher than what you've experienced with other software though I can't say for sure since you didn't specify which "other simulators" you mean. But what could it be when this isn't the problem. And I've flewn a lot of helicopters on other simulators so flying a helicopter is for me no problem.
